Let me take this moment to introduce you to the photographer I wish had shot my wedding...

Marina Miller @ Red Heart Photography

I follow her blog religiously and she's become my #1 source of inspiration when it comes to wedding photography. She's lives in Hawaii and has traveled all over the place to shoot weddings. And no, she's not on Maui, but she's so damn good I have to say she's worth the effort to fly her over. Seriously, not having her shoot my wedding is my biggest regret. (But what can you do when you're not the one with the money!? But I digress...)

Marina is an expert at beach wedding photography. But not the kind of "expert" that shot my wedding -- the kind that does the same stuff for every wedding so that it's routine and robotic. No, she tailors her shoots to each couple and every wedding she shoots comes out unique and romantic and just plain 'ol BAD ASS.

This wedding was amazing for several reasons, but try to guess the reason I fell in love with it the most..

Yeah, it's the typical "shaka" shot, but it's done so well! No cheese in these shots. :)

and because I think it's good advice:

"One pair for the beach ceremony, one pair for the reception. I encourage ALL Hawaii brides to bring 2 pairs of shoes to the wedding." 

I did that for my wedding, but unfortunately no one got shots of my awesome shoes. :(

On top of being an awesome photographer she's also an awesome mom and is currently preggers at the moment, so her availablility is limited --

October -May 2010  No bookings

May - December 2010 Limited bookings (ELOPE package, engagement sessions, and bridals)

January 2011  Back to booking all weddings.

But if your wedding falls anywhere within the time she can shoot it, SCOOP HER UP! She's 150% worth it. Don't end up like me -- because as much as I love her images, each one feels like a stab in the heart since it continually reminds me that I totally missed out.
